Controller for biometric sensors

LANIT-TERCOM specialists built a controller for biometric sensors designed for mass consumption. It is a component of a bracelet used to collect and transmit biometric information.

The controller connects to the set of sensors in the device, letting it measure the following:

  • Temperature
  • Pulse
  • Arterial blood pressure
  • Heartbeats
  • Moisture content
  • Skin resistance (impedance)

The data collected can be processed locally in the controller or transmitted via Bluetooth. The controller hardware uses an ARM Cortex-M4 high-efficiency processor.

As part of the project, LANIT-TERCOM went beyond design documentation for the controller to develop technology protecting the controller’s built-in software, something that secures the device during the initial download as well as regular updates.
